Sarah Heiman

Hi! My name is Sarah Heiman, and I am senior majoring in Environmental Science with an emphasis in Sustainability and Leadership. This semester, I am teaching 7th grade science students at Alice Vail Middle School. Teaching middle schoolers has be both challenging and rewarding. Seeing students enjoy a lesson and become excited about and engaged with science is an amazing experience. I have gained so much from this opportunity, from classroom management skills to confidence in public speaking. I am very glad to be able to give back to my local community by educating students in the same school district I attended as a child.
