Maya Tainatongo
Hello, my name is Maya Tainatongo and I am a sophomore at the UA. I was born and raised here in Tucson, AZ and I love the desert! I am currently majoring in three areas which are wildlife conservation and management, anthropology, and Spanish linguistics. I am also a Next Generation Intern at Saguaro National Park where I have been able to teach environmental science and participate in many research projects involving Sonoran Desert plants and animals. I love natural science and teaching. The Bio/Diversity Project combines both of these passions! Through the program I hope to inspire diverse students to be interested in the environment and maybe eventually seek out a career in the environmental field.
