Maggie Banks

Hello All, My name is Maggie and I am a senior here at the University of Arizona. I am a double major and will be graduating in May with a BA in Anthropology and a BS in Geography with an emphasis on Global Information Systems, or GIS. When I graduate I would like to specialize in Central and South America. At the beginning of the year, I was looking for an internship that was going to help me learn how to teach people about complex topics at their knowledge levels. Teaching at Tully Elementary to a second grade class of children about complex issues like diversity, helped me learn how to take those complex issues and make them accessible to people of any age. Looking back at the semester, I not only learned what I set out to, but that my goal was The Bio/Diversity Project’s, as well.
