Jennifer Luna Sortillon

Hello, my name is Jennifer Luna! I am currently a sophomore attending the University of Arizona majoring in Pre-Med Public Health with a minor in French. This semester I had the opportunity to teach 9th graders at Catalina High School. I decided to participate in the Bio/Diversity Project because I wanted a learning experience that will not only benefit me, but the students that I would be teaching. The Bio/Diversity Project is a great outreach program that encourages students to see the scientist within them! The main takeaway from the internship was being able to teach and work alongside underrepresented children. This opportunity gave me the confidence I needed in public speaking!
