Irene Meikle

Hi! My name is Irene Meikle and I'm a third year senior at the U of A! I'm currently majoring In Literacy, Learning, and Leadership and minoring in Biology. I plan on teaching science somehow---whether it be in a classroom or somewhere more informal like a science center, which I'm doing now. I want to focus on being a culturally sustaining educator and I believe that this internship will help me with this. I think that learning about the environment we live in is so important to fostering empathy and understanding about the world, and I'm excited to be able to guide students through this!
