Emily Ciszewski

Hi! My name is Emily Ciszewski and I am a junior at the University of Arizona currently majoring in Psychology and Environmental Studies and minoring in Spanish. My interest in the Bio/Diversity Project Internship comes from my passion about the wellbeing of people as well as the environment. The intersection of these two areas and seeing how they impact each other has caused me to develop a passion for environmental justice, as often times marginalized groups are left out of environmental discussions and decisions, so being a part of the Bio/Diversity Project and working to help diversify environmental science fields by uplifting marginalized groups and giving them the resources to do so is something that I am really looking forward to! I am very excited to be working directly with K-12 students right here in Tucson and empowering them to pursue STEM careers by providing them with environmental science education that is relevant to them!
