Emily Burke

My name is Emily, and I am a senior at the U of A majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology. This will be my second semester participating as an intern with the Bio/Diversity Project. My previous semester was such a wonderful experience - I really enjoyed the passion that my students showed for science, and I got to learn how to be a good teacher. My future plans include earning a PhD in Genetics, becoming a professor in my field and heading academic research as a principal investigator. My second semester with The Bio/Diversity Project internship will allow me to continue to improve my scientific communication and to become a better mentor, teacher, and scientist.
