Lexis Meza

Hi! I'm Lexis, a sophomore at the University of Arizona majoring in biology and minoring in Latin American studies. I incorporate my own experiential knowledge as a first gen Mexican American into my passions surrounding conservation, education, and community development with the intention of making the outdoors a more inclusive and welcoming space for underrepresented communities. Growing up, I experienced a lack of access to adequate STEM and environmental education, which has both given me insight and driven my passion for expanding access to these in marginalized and underrepresented communities such as the one I grew up in. When I'm not working, you can find me tending to my houseplants, watching TV, or working on my nature photography.
