Olivia Goering

Hi! I am Olivia Goering, a current junior at University of Arizona. I am majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in Business Administration. The Bio/Diversity Project interests me because it combines my two passions of environmental science and working with youth. I am interested in doing more to benefit the Tucson community and am looking forward to doing so through being involved in this project. I have always wanted to pursue a career in environmental justice, and am looking forward to be able to work one-on-one with a diverse group of students to expand my knowledge on the topic. I think being able to effectively communicate is an important part of environmentalism, so I am excited to learn how I can be a strong communicator and educate my community on environmental issues. I also am excited to be working on a project associated with the Saguaro National Park, because I think youth in Tucson should get the opportunity to see the beauty in their community and it can allow youth to see the importance of protecting our environment. Overall, I hope to empower youth to see their full potential and learn how I can be a better communicator to benefit my community.
